DanceBody is designed for you to get a great workout with no prior dance experience necessary. From dance cardio to full-body toning, we have every type of workout you need to create a well-balanced fitness routine.

live and on demand classes

LIVE Classes

LIVE classes, included in Prima and Premiere Memberships, put you right in the studio with us.

  1. Log in to DanceBody LIVE, click "LIVE" on the top menu, then select the date you want to work out. 
  2. Click "count me in" on the class you want to take. This function sends you a confirmation email and a calendar invite so you can add it to your personal calendar for accountability. Join as many LIVE classes as you want! You can even join after a class starts.
  3. When it's time for class, go directly to DanceBody LIVE and click on the class you're taking.
  4. You have three options to view your workouts. Pinned view (the instructor full screen and class attendees on the right side of the screen) is the default view for LIVE, Instructor view (instructor full screen with your icon to the top left), or Class view (gallery view of everyone in class with you). To change your view, tap/click on the screen to see the ‘Video View’ option pop up at the bottom of your screen.
  5. Want added accountability? Turn on your camera so the instructor can see you during class. Camera shy? No problem, simply enter the classroom without turning on your camera.

On Demand Classes

Workout on your schedule with our extensive On Demand library of over 500 workouts. 

  • From DanceBody LIVE, click "On Demand" in the top menu.
  • Select the type of workout you want through our curated Collections
  • You can then filter by length, trainer, difficulty, body focus, and more.

Navigating your Account

  • Set Username & Location: Under Profile Settings create a username and add your location.
  • Private Mode: You can set yourself as private (users need to request to follow you to see your class activity and followers). 
  • Workout Goals: Track your workout goals and metrics under Preferences.
  • Bookmark Icon: Find, edit, and manage your playlists, favorite workouts, rentals, and message friends.
  • Playlists: Make a playlist of your favorite On Demand workouts. When you’re on a video, add a workout by clicking “+” in the top right corner. Name your playlist and save. Re-order, edit, and share with friends through the bookmark link on your profile. 

How To Cast

Stream your workout to your tv by casting from your device. It's best to cast between devices in the same family (i.e. iPhone to iOS/Apple TV).

MAC/OS TO APPLE TV

  • Always connect your iOS/iPadOS/macOS to the same Wi-Fi network as your Apple TV. 
  • If you have a macOS computer (MacBook Pro, iMac, etc.) you can use AirPlay to mirror your desktop to an Apple TV device that's connected to the same Wi-Fi network. 
  • In the top right corner click the AirPlay icon. If you don't see this icon, go to the Apple menu in the upper left corner, then navigate to System Preferences > Displays. Select "Show Mirroring Options" in the menu bar when available. 
  • Select your Apple TV. Your TV will begin to mirror your macOS. 
  • From here, navigate to dancebodylive.com and select the On Demand/LIVE class in your web browser on your Mac and begin playing the video.
  • Put the volume all the way up on your macOS, then control volume from there on your TV. 
  • Turn on your camera and place macOS in a spot where it's filming you. 
  • There may be a slight lag when you turn your camera on and/or off - don't fret - it'll catch up with itself. 
  • For optimal full-screen view on your TV, remain in the Speaker view and enter into full-screen on your macOS. 
  • After class, return to the top right corner of your macOS, click the AirPlay icon and select Stop AirPlay.

IPHONE/IPAD TO APPLE TV

  • Open the Control Center and tap the Screen Mirroring icon. 
  • Select your Apple TV. Open the DanceBody LIVE App on your iPhone.
  • Join a LIVE class or On Demand workout. 
  • Put the volume all the way up on your iPhone. 
  • Turn your iPhone horizontal and remain in the Speaker view. 
  • Turn on your camera and place the iPhone in a spot where it's filming you. 
  • After class, go back to the Control Center, click on the Screen Mirroring icon, and select Stop Mirroring.

PC TO CHROMECAST

  • Use Chrome browser to open DanceBodylive.com. 
  • Go to the upper right corner and click on Cast. 
  • Enter the LIVE class classroom and start your workout.

MOBILE DEVICE / ANDROID

  • Use an HDMI cable to connect your Android device to your TV.

Frequently Asked Questions

DO I NEED EQUIPMENT TO WORKOUT AT HOME?

You can do most of our DanceBody classes without equipment. However, for all Sculpt classes you need the essentials: Resistance Band, 2lb D-Weights, and a HexMat®. Dance Bands and Sculpt Bands are also great to have as extra credit. Sculpt + incorporates the HexWeight. Head to the DanceBody Shop.

DO I NEED TO RESERVE A SPOT IN LIVE CLASSES; CAN I JOIN IF I’M RUNNING LATE?

No, you don't need to reserve a spot in order to take a LIVE class. As long as the class is LIVE, you're able to enter and exit at any time. The class will start and end at the scheduled times.

HOW DO I CHANGE MY LIVE AND ON DEMAND CLASS VIEW?

CAN I ADD ON DEMAND VIDEOS TO MY "Favorites"?

You can “favorite” On Demand workouts to easily find them when you’re ready to work out. Just click the “+” in the top right corner of the video to add to your favorites. Then view your favorites under your profile by clicking on the Bookmark button next to your icon.

HOW CAN I SEE ALL UPCOMING LIVE CLASSES?

Click “LIVE” in the top menu and browse classes on the calendar. Use the filter feature to find the type of workout you’re looking for.

DOES DANCEBODY LIVE HAVE AN APP?

HOW DO I TROUBLESHOOT IF THE VIDEO/QUALITY IS GLITCHY?

WHICH DEVICE/BROWSER IS BEST FOR STREAMING LIVE CLASSES?

DanceBody LIVE streams best on a computer using a Chrome browser; especially when using 2-way video.
