We're thrilled to unveil the newest addition to our lineup of dynamic dance cardio and full body toning classes: Sculpt X. Get ready to sculpt and tone your way to a stronger, leaner you with this exhilarating new take on  strength training.

What sets Sculpt X apart? 

It's a 50-minute powerhouse session designed to push your limits while being kind to your joints. With the use of two 8-lb DanceBody HexWeights and our DanceBody BodyBand, this class is all about building strong, lean muscle tone.

But why is strength training important? 

Let's delve into that before we dive into the details of Sculpt X.

As we age, our bodies undergo natural changes. One of the most significant is the gradual loss of muscle mass and bone density, a process known as sarcopenia. Muscle mass begins to decrease 3-8% per decade after the age of 40. This decreases mobility and makes you more prone to injuries and other age-related problems. Maintaining muscle as you age improves the quality of life and increases metabolism too so you can burn more fat

Strength training  acts as a powerful antidote to the decline of muscle. It helps to preserve and even increase muscle mass, bone density, and metabolic rate, thereby promoting overall health and vitality.

Moreover, strength training plays a crucial role in injury prevention and rehabilitation. By strengthening the muscles and connective tissues, it enhances stability, balance, and coordination, reducing the risk of falls and enhancing mobility.

What equipment do I need for class? 

The HexWeight is not your average dumbbell. With its unique hexagonal shape and numbered sides, you’ll always have the proper grip and form as you transition between exercises. Don’t forget, in Sculpt X you’ll need two HexWeights.

The BodyBand is your secret weapon for sculpting long, lean muscles. Designed to provide resistance without bulk, it targets specific muscle groups with precision, intensifying every movement and maximizing your workout efficiency.

Sculpt X is a 50-minute low-impact strength training class, meaning it's gentle on your joints while still delivering a high-energy, calorie-burning workout. In Sculpt X we use two HexWeights, for a total of 16 pounds of weighted workouts, and a BodyBand. With each movement, you'll feel the burn and see the results.
