Meet the dance workout created by hard-working people, for hard-working people. Established in 2013 by Katia Pryce, this company was founded out of pure demand for fun, effective, and community-oriented dance cardio and sculpt classes.

DanceBody organically developed a devoted following in New York City. From there, the classes quickly expanded to Miami, Los Angeles, and The Hamptons. Part of the mission to bring dance fitness to everyone was actualized in 2016 when the online platform, DanceBody LIVE, launched.

The tight-knit team of dancers-turned-instructors lead with compassion while challenging their classes to move and think differently. Clients that thrive at DanceBody embrace the learning curve of dance workouts, and are better for it.

    You don’t need to BE a dancer to BE a DanceBody: we’re athletes not spectators; a community vs. individuals; we do it vs. say it; we perform vs. pose. And above all else, we know that the show must always go on. 

    The tremendous workout from dancing is secondary only to the way it feeds our hearts and minds. It feels really damn good to improve the quality of our lives through powerful movement. Together, as a group, we will always Keep Moving.

Founder & CEO

After dancing professionally for years, Katia combined her passion for dance and fitness into a career when she founded DanceBody in 2013. Originally moving to NYC from Michigan in 2009 to become a performing artist, Katia found she thrived in the emerging boutique fitness industry. DanceBody originated from Katia’s private sessions that quickly turned into high in demand full dance fitness classes.

Now, 10+ years later Katia has built her vision into a company, known for her compassionate, yet no-nonsense attitude towards building an inclusive culture. Her mission to provide a dance workout experience of “nice people dancing to good music” has translated into devoted DanceBody clients in NYC, Miami, Los Angeles, The Hamptons, and beyond.

With a background as a former professional dancer and now over a decade of experience in the fitness industry, Courtnay brings a rare blend of artistic discipline and athletic expertise to her role. As COO and Co-Founder of DanceBody, Courtnay oversees daily operations, programming, and trainer development. As a Master Trainer, she specializes in group fitness, personal training, pre & postnatal, and corrective exercise. Her ability to inspire and motivate others is evident in DanceBody’s loyal client base and reputation, setting her apart as a leader in the health and wellness industry.
