After dancing professionally for years, Katia combined her passion for dance and fitness into a career when she founded DanceBody in 2013. A 10-year veteran in the wellness industry, Katia quickly developed a reputation for her compassionate, yet no-nonsense, attitude towards building her company culture. Her mission to provide a fun, inclusive experience through her classes has translated into devoted DanceBody clients in NYC, Miami, Los Angeles, The Hamptons, and beyond. Katia is regularly tapped as an expert in her field, both as a fitness professional and entrepreneur.

With a background as a former professional dancer and now over a decade of experience in the fitness industry, Courtnay brings a rare blend of artistic discipline and athletic expertise to her role. As COO and Co-Founder of DanceBody, Courtnay oversees daily operations, programming, and trainer development. As a Master Trainer, she specializes in group fitness, personal training, pre & postnatal, and corrective exercise. Her ability to inspire and motivate others is evident in DanceBody’s loyal client base and reputation, setting her apart as a leader in the health and wellness industry.

Chief Experience Officer
Sasha is DanceBody's Chief Experience Officer, where she focuses on fostering customer loyalty and engagement through private sessions, special events and sponsorships. Since joining the team in 2018, Sasha has played a pivotal role in shaping the DanceBody experience. Most recently, she was DanceBody's Private Client & Trainer Director, where she oversaw private sessions and managed the DanceBody Trainers. Prior to DanceBody, Sasha was head of Investor Relations & Marketing at Archview Investment Group. A former DanceBody client herself, Sasha quickly realized that is the perfect intersection of her professional expertise and personal passion.

Content Director
Born and raised in Brooklyn, Ris brings her NYC energy and lifelong love of dance to everything she does. After three seasons as an NFL cheerleader for the New York Jets, Ris joined DanceBody as a trainer in 2021. She holds multiple certifications as a NASM and ProNatal certified personal trainer. Aside from being one of our most in demand trainers, Ris brings the DanceBody brand to life as our Content Director for the DB social media platforms.

Director of Training
With over 10 years of teaching experience and a background in dance and business from Central Washington University, Marisa made the leap from the Pacific Northwest to New York City to pursue her dreams. She started as a DanceBody trainer in 2019 and now serves as our Director of Training to oversee the DB trainers, create class content, and support the team overall. Marisa is a NASM certified personal trainer, Pilates instructor, and pre/postnatal specialist—committed to helping clients feel strong, capable, and supported at every stage of their journey.

My favorite part of class is: When everyone in the room is moving as one, and is so in tune with what we're doing in the moment where I don't even need to say anything. I could just look a certain way and they'd know what to do and where to go.

I feel powerful when: The moment during class when clients decide to not hold back. Their energy feeds my soul! I feel powerful commanding a space that allows for that energy exchange to occur.

Favorite class to teach: Signature because I love seeing clients progress throughout the quarter. By month 3 you’re playing around with the moves and it’s a freakin’ party!
My tag-line is: Saucy, bossy, and flossy.
My favorite part of class is: About half-way through when the energy is high, hearts are pumping, sweat is dripping, and everyone’s fully committed.
I’m known for my: Killer Plank Series
I feel powerful when: I’m staying true to who I am and believing in myself.
I give back by: Volunteering at Girls, Inc of Greater Los Angeles. It’s important to me that young women have positive role models and outlets to encourage them to express themselves and be confident in who they are.

I feel powerful when: Being surrounded by a community of powerful, ambitious, smart, strong, supportive women. After taking or teaching a DanceBody class, I get this incredible supercharged rush that makes me feel like I can take on anything. It’s the best feeling.

When not at DB: I’m either performing, taking class as a professional dancer, choreographing, managing brand partnerships, or bringing a little DIY sparkle to life as a crafty, Cricut queen. Safe to say I like to keep things creative (and busy).
